As a Clinical Social Worker, I provide Talking Therapies to adults. Additionally, I am an approved ACC Sensitive Claims therapist.
Furthermore, I offer Professional Supervision to Social Workers and other professionals within the social services field.
THERAPY
Drawing on my experience working with trauma and complex presentations, I offer a therapeutic relationship in which your unique story can unfold at its own pace. I understand that past experiences—sometimes obvious, sometimes subtle or long forgotten—continue to shape how we feel, relate to others, and experience the present.
My work is grounded in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. I invite people to speak freely and follow the thoughts, feelings, memories, and impressions that arise in the course of our work. Together, we can become curious about recurring patterns, difficulties, and ways of relating that may have developed over time. Through this process, new meanings can emerge, painful experiences can be worked through, and greater freedom and possibility can become available in everyday life.
SUPERVISION
In supervision I encourage reflective practice to explore ethical, boundary and practice issues whether the supervisee is young in their career or well established.
My own practice experience has been in the NGO sector in community and residential adolescent and adult mental health services, working in the education sector promoting wellbeing in schools for children, parents and staff. This work included managing and leading teams while working collaboratively across the NGO and Public sector.
Before being full time in private practice I also worked in Primary Health delievering Brief Intervention Talking Therapy.
Please get in touch to talk further about supervision and availability.
